Like the old adage says, nothing is certain except death and taxes, and that time of year is rolling around again. It’s hard enough getting your personal taxes done, but if you have to tackle your business taxes as well, you are probably pulling your hair out by now. There are however online resources available to help answer your questions.
The Small Business Administration is providing small businesses with assistance with their tax questions. The USA.gov/business website provides federal form searches so visitors can quickly find and download federal tax forms and guides. It also has information on federal and state taxes, such as how to apply for a tax ID number.
IRS.gov can provide you with information on the updated changes in tax laws that Congress passed before it adjourned last year. Changes that aren’t reflected in the printed materials sent out by the IRS. Many of those materials had to be printed and shipped before many of the new tax laws went into effect. The most current laws should be available on the website.
