There were many discussions if companies incorporated in Nevada automatically need apply for Nevada State Business License ($100 annual fee).
Our position was that if you actually open office, have employees or have income from Nevada then you must apply for state license.
If you only use Nevada company to hold real estate or other assets without actively engaging in trade for profit then you don’t have to apply for the license.
Almost two years ago on August 26, 2005 I sent fax with the question to Nevada Department of Taxation and finally I got an answer this morning (2-20-2007).
