The cost of workers’ compensation insurance in Pennsylvania will be reduced by 8.6 percent this year. Gov. Rendell’s office said workers’ compensation rates have declined in two of the previous three years, saving employers another $100 million.
Employers can save an additional 5 percent on their workers’ comp rates by forming certified workplace safety committees and establishing practices designed to protect workers from on-the-job injuries.
