Small Business owners may need to get political. The American Small Business League is worried that in the current political climate and thanks to recommendations from an American Enterprise Institute analyst, the Small Business Administration is going to vanish. 
The Bush administration continues to reduce funding to the Small Business Administration. The mission of the Small Business Administration is to maintain and strengthen the nation’s economy by aiding, counseling, assisting and protecting the interests of small businesses and by helping families and businesses recover from national disasters.
Who profits if the Small Business Administration is closed?
Certainly not small businesses when taken into consideration that 99.7% of U.S. employers ARE small businesses.
Ultimately, larger corporations and conglomerates will profit if the SBA is closed ending their regulatory treatment of small businesses.
Small business owners should really take a look into what is happening in Washington while the International issues are dominating the front page, there’s a lot of work going on that can affect you.
