A recent SurePayroll survey found that the small business economy is off to a “great start”.In February, the SurePayroll Hiring Index rose 39 points, ending the month at 10,511, a record high for the index.
On a year-to-date basis, hiring was also up .7%, which, if estimates hold, puts small-business hiring on track to grow 4% this year. It is a nice contrast to small business hiring which actually decline .2% in 2006.
