When I started one of my businesses I needed to hire a fulfillment company to take care of shipment and warehousing of my products.
What is a fulfillment company?
Fulfillment, also known as order fulfillment or product fulfillment, is the process where by a person or company fulfills their obligations to send a person an item or product that the person has ordered, purchased, or requested from the organization.
Fulfillment typically will refer to the services provided by a company that offers to store, receive the orders, package, and then ship the ordered item to the end consumer. Source Wikipedia.
Many of these companies required that you provide order data in certain format. Most of the also require minimum orders. They are not usually very friendly to small start up businesses.
My company is using open source e-commerce software OScommerce and I was trying to find someone who will fulfill the orders without me doing any programming modifications. I couldn’t find any company.
